Noemi Torres Correa

Noemi Torres Correa, 67 of Worcester, formerly of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family after a battle with breast cancer. Noemi is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Rafael Santana Cuevas; her son, Rafael Santana of New York; her daughter, Mirna Artuso and her husband Michael of Worcester; four, grandchildren, Christian Domenech, Rafael Santana, Jazmin Domenech and Jean Carlo Santana; seven great grandchildren; six brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother-in-law. Noemi was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Juan Torres and Rosa M. Correa and had lived there until moving to Worcester five years ago. She was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church, loved bingo, the casino and dominos. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester followed by a funeral service at 7 pm.
