Maria K. Forsyth

Maria K. (Principe) Forsyth, 80 of West Boylston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at UMass Hospital. Maria's husband of twenty-nine years, Leland C. Forsyth passed away in 1995. She is survived by two sons, Brandon C. Forsyth and his wife Kimberly and Scott C. Forsyth all of West Boylston; a sister, Adrianna Balderston of West Boylston; a step-granddaughter, Jessica Laine; a step-great grandson, Joseph Oliveras; man nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, George and Patrick Principe; three sisters, Teresa Heron, Anna Principe and Rose Castonguay. Maria was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (DeSalvio) Principe and graduated from Worcester School. She received her bachelors from Clark University in Education and later received her masters from Quinsigamond Community College. Maria was in the United States Air Force where she served her country overseas for many years. She worked for the United States Embassy Schools teaching English in Pakistan and for Digital teaching English to children as a second language. She moved to West Boylston in 1970 where she has lived ever since. Maria also worked for many years at Logan Airport as a customs agent for drug enforcement. Maria was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, loved attending bible study groups, watching educational television and traveling in her younger years while working for foreign services. Maria's funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. There are no calling hours.
