Dolores loved her family and was a devout animal lover, but her work gave her a great sense of purpose. She worked for many years at Peoples Savings Bank and later in the Human Resources Department at UMass Medical School, for many years, before she retired. She was not one to sit back and relax, so she continued to work at UMass as a one on one advocate and personal assistant for patients, finally retiring last year. She was a member of Saint Stephen's Church. She enjoyed walking, shopping, traveling to Las Vegas and "The Wonder of It All". As involved as she was with work and her hobbies, she always found time to enjoy a Dunkin's coffee or special loving times with her family and her pets.
