Dr. Michael A. Polseno, D.C., 61 of Millbury passed away Wednesday, February 4th surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Michael A. and Ruth (Knipe) Polseno. He grew up in Burrillville, entered Clark University and earned his Bachelor's Degree. Michael then entered Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. He established his practice, Chiropractic Health Center of Worcester and served his patients for over 35 years before retiring. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna (Lasorsa) Polseno and her daughters, Gina Clapprood and her husband Jason of Cranston and Michele Salzillo and her husband Andrew of Barrington R.I.; five grandchildren Sean, Joshua, and Reid Clapprood, William and Violet Salzillo. Four siblings, Emily Menard and her husband Charlie of Pascoag, R.I., Robert Polseno and his companion Jocylene of Pascoag R.I.; Linda Bernard and her husband Mike of Harrisville, R.I , Richard Polseno and his wife Linda of Lincoln R.I.; Several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends including his friend since childhood, Donald Taschereau of Woodstock CT. A wine enthusiast, also known as "The Wine Guy", he conducted wine tastings at Mass Liquors. He also authored "A Primer for Wine and Evaluation" He was a former member of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the International Wine and Food Society and a past member of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. In retirement, Michael volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister for Umass Memorial Health Care Hospital. He enjoyed trailing in the woods with his grandchildren, gardening, and traveling to vineyards in France, Italy and the United States. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Today, Thursday, February 5th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral will be held Friday, February 6th from the funeral home with a procession to St Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. Millbury. Burial will follow in Chepachet Cemetery, Chepachet, RI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Brigid's church, 59 Main St Millbury Mass.
