Marjorie Ann McCormick

Marjorie Ann (Genander) McCormick, 80, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Worcester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Her husband, Mendor B. McCormick, predeceased her in 1973. Marjorie is survived by her loving family, a son, Kenny "Bones" McCormick and his partner, David Bratko of Worcester; five daughters, Bernice "Bunny" Armenia of Worcester, Bonnie McCormick of Worcester, Kerry Barbour of Millbury, Janice Martello and her husband John of Chatsworth, CA, and Holly Setaro and her husband Anthony of Worcester; a sister, Marilyn Stake of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Rene Armenia, Jr., Destiney Armenia, Wendy Giangregorio and her husband Gary, Pete Barbour and his fiancé Destiny, Justina Setaro, Anthony Setaro, II, and Chelsy Martello; four great grandchildren, Joseph, Brianna, Jayle, and Gianna; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sons in law, Rene Armenia and Michael Soucy; and by a brother and sister, Paul Genander and Eleanor Semasco. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Paul and Eva (Ledoux) Genander, and has lived here all her life. Marjorie was enthralled by her family and she cherished the times with her children. She was especially happy when surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family gave her great joy and comfort. She had been a member of the former Assumption Parish. She enjoyed dancing, singing, playing BINGO, and putting on her "bling bling" Calling hours for Marjorie will be held on Sunday, January 25, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in MERCADANT E FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a Funeral Service at 5 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment at Hope Cemetery, will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Anne's Church Human Services, 120 Boston Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
