Peggy (Burke) Trotto, 83, of Boylston, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Saint Vincent Hospital. Her loving husband, Matteo F. Trotto, predeceased her in 1997. Peggy is survived by her eight loving grandchildren, Matthew and Raymond Terpstra, both of Orlando, FL, Richard Madore and his wife Laura of Revere, Toni Iott and her husband Peter of Sturbridge, William LaFlash of Salem, MA, Nicole LaFlash of Orange, MA, Michael DeFeudis of Tallahassee, FL, and Travis Davis of Worcester; three sisters, Sharon Poulin of Holden, Barbara Williams of West Boylston, and Patty Glodis of Worcester; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Richard R. Terpstra and Donald J. DeFeudis, and by two sisters, Eleanor Burke and Joanie LaPlante. Peggy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Raymond and Margaret (Schollard) Burke. Peggy worked for over twenty years at the Department of Youth Services, before she retired. Peggy was a strong willed and elegant woman, who lived for her family. She loved her yearly trips to Marco Island Florida, where she could "winter" with all her lady friends. Her grandchildren and their families would like to thank the wonderful "angels" at both Dana Farber and Saint Vincent Hospital; especially Dr. Gregory Abel of Dana Farber, Dr. Nandana Kansra and Dr. Saleem Khanani of St. Vincent Hospital. The care and compassion that Peggy and the family received, will never be forgotten. A Funeral Mass for Peggy will be held on Thursday, January 22, at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, 120 Boston Turnpike Road (Route 9), Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
