Winnie was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Albert U. and Annette (Bolduc) Lusignan. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Winnie worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Company for over forty years, retiring from the legal department as an administrative assistant. Winnie was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and swimming in her younger years, gardening and traveling. She touched the hearts of those who knew her with her spunk and wittiness. We will miss her but have her always as an example of how to live with fortitude and care despite all the challenges she had to endure. She was truly one of a kind. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center where she felt comfortable and was happy, and to the medical team at UMass Hospital: University Campus 7 ICU for their compassion and exceptional care. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately and at a later time. In lieu of flowers, Winnie would have liked for you to take the time to do something nice for someone in need.
