Gail A. Cross, 67, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, surrouned by her family, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. Gail was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Richard F. and Mary L. (McQueeney) Cross, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Worcester Commerce High School and trained to become and PCA. She worked for many years at UMass-Memorial Hospital, before retiring in 2014. She was awarded the Red Cross Award for Outstanding Employee in 2006. She was dedicated to caring for those around her and she held her elders in the highest esteem; for she believed that the elderly are heroes. She is survived by three brothers, Richard and Ronald Cross of Worcester, and Michael Cross and his wife Joann of Sun City, AZ; a sister, Carol Elliott of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. It was Gail's wish, that there be no calling hours or services. Following cremation, she will be inurned with her parents at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
