Mary A Masiello

Mary A. (Bomba) Masiello, 94, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Frank A. Masiello, Jr., predeceased her in 1983. Mary is survived by her wonderful family; a daughter, Dianne Pellegrino and her husband Peter, with whom she made her home; a son, Frank R. "Bob" Masiello and his wife Ann, all of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Steven Pellegrino and his wife Lisa, Deanna Siciliano and her husband Salvatore, Marc Pellegrino, Christy Coburn and her husband Jonathan, Robert Masiello and his wife Greta, and Tina Masiello; fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her siblings; a brother, Stanley Bomba of Barre; three sisters, Phyllis Sorel and her husband Edward of Gilbertville, and twins, Amelia "Mimi" Kowalski and her husband Ronald of Ware and Stephanie "Teffie" Garstka of Gilbertville; many nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Gilbertville, daughter of the late John and Florintina (Pirog) Bomba-Koziol. Mary was a wonderful woman who cared for her family and worked hard with her husband to found Massasoit Auto Body in Worcester. She was a person who's concern for others well being surpassed her own at times; she was a giver, a giver of kindness, and giver of love and a giver of compassion. Mary enjoyed several hobbies, including bowling for over forty years, with the Grafton Hill Post. She was a great cook and wonderful cake decorator. She enjoyed her home and tending to her gardens. She loved her family and was filled with joy and pride for her grandchildren. Calling hours for Mary will be held on Monday, January 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
