Earl O. Paquette,96, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday January 6, 2015 in the UMASS Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 63 years Cecile (Carriere) Paquette died June 6, 2005. Earl leaves two daughters; Jeanne A. Jette of Whitinsville, and Denise Niemitz and her spouse Tracy Markham of Hardwick. Earl is also the proud grandfather and great grandfather to; Monique Hickey and her husband Michael and their children, Aidan and Brennan; Christine Thurber and her husband Donald and their children Haley and Matthew, Steven Jette and his wife Joanna and their children Benjamin, Emma and Nathan, Emily Forrest and her husband Josh and their children William and Andrew, Ellen Rafer and her husband Steven and their children Zane, Alexandra and Maxwell and grandson Carl Niemitz and his wife Brenda and their son Cameron. Earl was predeceased by a daughter Lorraine C. Paquette, a brother Edgar Paquette, and two sisters, Gladys Massad and Lillian Langevin. Earl was born in Worcester son of the late Urgel and Olivine (Rolland) Paquette and has lived here all his life. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving as an armed guard in the South Pacific Theater. He was stationed on the USS. Donald W. Wolf. Earl was a skilled carpenter and Machinist, he worked for various Worcester companies before he retired, and was still working up until he was 90 years old. He was always there to take on projects to improve the lives of his family and friends. Earl was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. He loved being with his family especially the grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Earls funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday January 12, at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes 1290 Grafton St. A period of visitation with the family will be held from 9:00AM to 9:45 AM, IN THE CHURCH Prior to the Mass.
