Arthur R. Cullen, Jr., 62, of Winchendon, formerly of Revere, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2014, in Saint Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Frances (Muscato) Cullen of Revere; his fiancé, Martha Jost of Winchendon; a brother, James E. Cullen and his wife Maria of Stoneham; three sisters, Anita L. Cullen of Revere, Laura L. McCormick and her fiancé Frank Raffa of Worcester, and Linda F. Dirico and her husband Paul of Lynnfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arthur was born in Boston, son of the late Arthur R. Cullen. He graduated from Tech High School in Boston and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. He later served his nation proudly in the United States Air Force and then in the United States Army. He spent several years, stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany. Arthur worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over thirty five years as a letter carrier. He was a long time motorcycle enthusiast and Harley Davidson owner; he enjoyed fishing and spending time at a local Rod and Gun Club. He was a long time member of the NRA; and had served on the Planning Board for the Town of Winchendon. Calling hours for Arthur will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. He Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
