Adelle (Peters) Nabhan, a native of Worcester, Massachusetts and long-time resident of Atlantis, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 26th, after a brief illness and with her family by her side. Mrs. Nabhan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Bourisk) Peters. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward N. Nabhan. She is also pre-deceased by her siblings Dr. Louis "Eli" Peters, Edward "Skippy" Peters and Josephine Corey. Adelle is survived by her three loving children, Cynthia Nabhan Crawford and her husband Ian Crawford of South Natick and Atlantis Florida, Sandra Nabhan Avellone, and her husband Dr. Joseph Avellone of Wellesley, Edward G. Nabhan and his wife Sandra Beth Nabhan of Boston. Mrs. Nabhan was blessed to have seven adoring grandchildren Brooke Kavoogian, Kristyn and Greg Kerkorian, Joseph and Peter Avellone, Dr. Whitney (Avellone) Perry and Alex Nabhan. Mrs. Nabhan was the great grandmother of three and one on the way. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the beloved family Matriarch who always kept everyone laughing. Mrs. Nabhan was a graduate of Commerce High School (Worcester) and Forsythe Institute (Boston) and worked as a Dental Hygienist. She was a life-long member and benefactor of St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester and was member of its Women's Club for many years. She also was member The Stella Chapter of The Eastern Star. A funeral service was held at St. Mary's Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday December 28th. Worcester services; Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 3rd from 9:30am to 10:30am at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, followed by a Trisagion Service and then interment at Hope Cemetery.
