Paul J. Ciociolo, 61, a longtime West Boylston resident passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 with his family by his side after a brief illness. Paul was born in Worcester, a son of Matthew P. and Dorothy M. (Dufault) Ciociolo. He graduated from West Boylston High School and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He settled back in his home town to raise his family and has lived there for most of his life. Paul is survived by his two children, Matthew P. Ciociolo of Los Angeles and Julia A. Ciociolo of West Boylston. He also leaves; his mother, Dorothy M. (Dufault) Ciociolo of West Boylston; two brothers, Mark Ciociolo of West Boylston and Dennis Ciociolo and his wife Melanie of Shrewsbury; a sister, Dianne (Ciociolo) MacNicol and her husband John of West Boylston; the mothers of his children and his former wives, Christine (Holub) Ciociolo and Joanne (Monahan) Ciociolo; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Paul lost his son Nicholas P. Ciociolo in an automobile accident in 2003. His father Matthew P. Ciociolo passed away in 2011. Besides his family, Paul's life love was golfing. He spent many years as a member at Wachusett Country Club. He caddied on the PGA tour and also worked on a course in Vero Beach, Florida. He enjoyed spending summers in Cape Cod, skiing in the winters, and most importantly spending time with his children. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Sunday, December 28th from 12 noon to 3:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. followed by a prayer service at 3 pm. Burial will be private.
