Ellen (Friel) Levesque, 45, of Worcester, died peacefully but unexpectedly Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the UMASS Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Peter S. Levesque Jr., her two sons, Garrett Francis Levesque and Brett Charles Levesque. Ellen also leaves her parents, David J. and Sheila A. (Joyce) Friel, two brothers, David M. Friel and his wife Mary Beth (Aiello) Friel, James Friel and his wife Joanne (Halverson) Friel, her sister, Mary (Friel) Daniel and her husband James. Ellen also leaves her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter S. Levesque Sr. and Joan (Lovett) Levesque, a brother-in-law, Thomas Levesque and his wife Kelly, and two sisters-in-law, Jeannine Souza and her husband Sean, and Loretto White and her husband Douglas. Ellen is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews; Melissa Peters and her husband Ben, Kristin Bohall and her husband Jonathan, Robert, Cameron, Francesca, Erica, Daniel, Jackson, Michael, Will, Connor, Catherine, and Charles, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ellen was born in Worcester and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Burncoat High School, class of 1987. While in high school, Ellen received a scholarship to attend the Geoffrey School of Ballet in New York City. She also attended the Gregory Hines School of Dance, which contributed to her ability to dance for Walt Disney World in Florida. Locally, she attended the Paula Zawalich and Diane Kelley Dance Studios. She loved to dance and was also dedicated to the well being of children, which lead to her Career as a Pre-Instructional Assistant at the Belmont Street Community School where she has been employed for the last 20 years. Ellen loved being with children. She enjoyed going to her sons' sporting events, and enjoyed music. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ellen was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, and was also a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Her funeral will be held on Thursday with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary 25, Fales Street. Visiting hours with the family will be on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in St John Cemetery.
