Louise Ann (Swenson) Dacri, 82, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, on Monday, December 8, 2014, in the loving arms of her daughter. Her beloved husband of fifty-six years, Joseph P. Dacri, pre-deceased her in 2010. Louise is survived by her loving family, her daughter and best friend, Deborah Slavinskas and her husband Daniel of Worcester, and their children, Fr. Jonathan Slavinskas, Amy Whittemore and her husband James, Bethanne and Christopher; three sons, Joseph Dacri and his wife Ruby of Palm Bay, Florida and his daughter, Alyssa; Richard Dacri and his wife Elizabeth of Holden and their daughter Julia; and Robert Dacri and his wife Judith of Holden and their children, Bryanna and Kelsey; nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many cousins a very special "sister cousin", Elva Fontaine and Jim Brock. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Donald, and David Swenson and by her sister, Anita. Louise was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Charles E. and Theresa (Quillia) Swenson, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked at Norton Company. After her marriage to Joe, she chose to stay home and raise her family. She returned to the working world when her children had grown and began working for Central Insurance Company. She continued to work for many years before retiring from Amica Insurance, at the age of seventy-two. She was well known for her impeccable dress and bargain shopping skills. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. The family would like to thank the "angels" at Summit Eldercare in Worcester, their kindness and compassion will be lovingly remembered. Louise enjoyed her time and the caring company of her friends at Summit. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 10, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 11, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, celebrated by her grandson, Fr. Jonathan Slavinskas. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
