Jean (Yankowskas) Hynes, of Worcester passed away peacefully joining her dear husband in eternal life Friday, November 21st 2014. Jean was born in Ware, a daughter of Frank and Adele (Emanavich) Yankowskas. She grew up in Barre, graduated from Barre High School and lived there until moving to Worcester where she has lived ever since. Jean's husband Edward Hynes passed away in 1985. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann DePatie in Tampa, Florida; her sister in law Irene Yankowskas of Worcester; a niece Patricia Paradise and her husband Earl of Worcester; three nephews, Paul Yankowskas and his wife Alison of Londonderry NH, James Yankowskas of Pelham NH, Mark Yankowskas and his wife Janean of Suwanee, GA; grandnieces and nephews, and extended family members. Besides her husband Edward, Two brothers, George and Edward Yankowskas also pre deceased her. Jean worked for the Emergency Department of Memorial Hospital before retiring. She previously worked for the Rutland VA Hospital and Heald Machine Company. Jean loved her family, the Boston Red Sox, and Peyton Manning. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, November 25th 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Wednesday November 26th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 am in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial next to her husband will follow in St. John Cemetery.
