Esther (Smith) Freeman, 97 of Worcester formerly of Medford, passed away Wednesday, November 12th at home surrounded by her family. Esther was married for 73 years to Howard G. Freeman who survives her. She also leaves her daughter Lynn, her son Jack, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Esther was the younger daughter of Max and Helen Smith who emigrated from Kiev. She grew up in Medford and graduated from Boston School of Practical Arts. Esther enjoyed collecting American Impressionist art, and for many years participated in various activities at the Worcester Art Museum and other cultural institutions in Worcester.
