Daniel R. Levine, 84, of Worcester, a dedicated husband, father & grandfather passed away peacefully Thursday November 13th 2014 with those he loved gathered by his bedside. Daniel was born in New Haven, CT, one of four children of Charles and Mildred (Schwartz) Levine. He grew up in New Haven, graduated high school and joined the U.S. Army to serve his country during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return Daniel furthered his education earning his college associates degree. In 1984, he met and married, Carol Ann (Ferrantino) Levine, together they lived happily for the next thirty two years moving from Connecticut to Worcester in 1996. He has lived here ever since. Daniel began his working career with Simkins Industries in New Haven where he worked for 36 years retiring as Plant Supervisor. He later worked 11 more years as a security consultant for Securitas Company. Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Ann; his daughter, Melissa L. Levine, her daughter Jaycee L. Saulnier, with whom he lived, seven more children; Cheryl , Daniel Levine Jr., Charles, Debra , Lori, Tami and Michelle Levine all in Connecticut; a brother Bernard and sister Cynthia; seventeen grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A brother Carl Levine pre deceased him. Daniel was a proud simple man, who loved his family, and being with them laughing and celebrating the special moments. He enjoyed watching the New England Sports Teams on T.V. Funeral services for Daniel will be held Monday, November 17th at 12 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial with military honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
