February 11, 1961 — November 7, 2014

Michael J. Novia, 53 of Oxford passed away suddenly in his home Friday, November 7th 2014. Michael was born in Worcester a son of the late Peter M. Novia Jr and Mae R. (Paul) Novia. He graduated from North High School, worked for a time at various places including Bradlees Department store. He has lived in Oxford since 1998. Michael is survived by his seven siblings, Debra and her husband Robert Dalbec of Worcester; James M. Novia in NH, Peter M. Novia III in Tampa Florida, Steven Novia of Natick, Ann M. Brooks of Millbury, Cathy Maraglia of Webster and Maureen F. Loubier of Westborough; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Besides his parents, Michael's twin sister passed away at their birth. Michael enjoyed old movies, baking, computers and being with his family. Michael's funeral will be held Thursday, November 13th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will follow with his parents in St John Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home prior to leaving for church. Memorial remembrances in Michael's name can be made to the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church renovation fund, 24 Mulberry St 01604.
