Arnold J. Andrade, 67 of Worcester, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, November 2, 2014 under the loving care of his family. Arnold is survived by his loving and devoted wife of twenty-three years, June (Barron) Andrade; four children, Angie, Arnold, Rosa and Ravine all of Georgia; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; three siblings, Tessie, Walter and Paul Andrade all of Wareham; his loving sister-in-law, Carole Turner of Leicester, who helped care for him; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Peter, Arthur and Christopher Andrade; two sisters, June Andrade and Nellie Rosado.; an aunt, Minga Andrade. Arnold was born in Wareham, a son of the late Jenny (Andrews) and Arthur Andrade. Arnold served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam where he was wounded and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Purple Heart. Arnold enjoyed listening to music and was a self-taught painter. He loved his special friends, Princess, Snuggles, Paco, Tillie and Caille. Arnold's family would like to give a special thanks to Charlene, Katie, Dora, Jose and Elizabeth who helped care for him and to his doctors, Dr. Valerie Pietry and Dr. A. Ghandour and nurses, Keisha and Grace of Family Health for the outstanding care given to him. Services for Arnold will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 5th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
