Magdalene Marie Ranucci-Stidsen

Magdalene "Maggie"M. (Grigalunas) Ranucci-Stidsen, 97, of Leicester died peacefully Saturday October 25, 2014 in the Lanessa Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Ranucci, and her second husband Harold Stidsen. Magdalene is survived by a her daughter Beverly Ginkus and her husband Joseph "Bud"of Leicester, a son Peter A. Ranucci of San Antonio, Texas, two grandchildren Trina Ginkus and David Ranucci, also two great grandchildren Taylor and Jackson of Houston Texas. Several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Andrew Grigalunas, Maggie was born in Worcester daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Taparauskas Grigalunas and lived here most of her life. She attended Lamartine Street School. Maggie worked as a supervisor at the U. S. Envelope Company for many years. She also was a host at the Mission Valley Golf Club in Nokomis Florida where she lived for many years before returning to Worcester. Maggie was a long time member of the Church of St. Casimirs, and also the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. She was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Lithuania Council #26 and their Womens Auxiliary for many years, She was also a member of the Women's Lithuanian Alliance. Her most treasured times were those with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lanessa Nursing Home and the Brookhaven Hospice for their kindness and compassion shown to Maggie and her family. It was truly appreciated. Maggie's funeral will be held Thursday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life by visiting with the family from 4PM to 7PM in the funeral home on Wednesday evening. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to the Renovation fund for the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann at the address above.
