Theresa A. "Terri" Galli, 86, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Thursday October 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at UMASS Medical Center University Campus after being stricken ill earlier in the week. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Albert B. and Delia M. (Nicoletti) Galli and lived most of her life on Lyon St., later moving to Lincoln Village. Theresa was a beloved sister, godmother, aunt and friend. She leaves her sister Josephine M. Galli with whom she lived and was her lifelong companion. She also leaves her dear, devoted sister and closest friend, Emilie G. Fiore who was her regular shopping companion. She was predeceased by a brother Albert J. "Sonny" Galli. Auntie Terri was also a dear godmother and aunt to Diane M. Fiore, William A. Fiore and Robert J. Fiore all of Worcester, as well as Michael Galli and Christopher Galli and also leaves many extended family members. Theresa worked in the offices of several area companies including Cornell Dubilier , J. Baker Shoe , New England Manufacturing and Central Plumbing and Supply Company. Theresa was a kind and loving person who took care of her mother in her later years. She was a life time member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann. Theresa loved animals and had many pets throughout her life. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during the holidays, shopping with her sister Emilie and making many beautiful flower arrangements for family and friends. Theresa was always thankful for family members and friends who helped her during the past several years, as well as Delores from Elder Services whose compassion and care she greatly appreciated. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses, especially Laraine, in Lakeside 3 Heart and Vascular ICU at UMASS for their skilled care, compassion and kindness during this difficult time. Theresa's funeral will be held on Monday, October 6,2014 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. A calling hour will be held on Monday morning only from 8:30AM to 10:30AM prior to leaving for church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
