Lisenge Wenga Bosunga, 38, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, September 28th after a brief illness. Lisenge, known to many as Wenga, or Boss, was born October 1, 1975 in Kinshasa, DRC, a son of Mathieu Bosunga and Julie (Lokangu) Bosunga. He grew up in Kinshasa alongside many brothers and sisters and he completed his primary education at Lisanga Protestant School. He immigrated to the United States in 1994 where he attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. After earning a degree, Lisenge moved to Worcester accepting a position with BOSE Corporation in Framingham for 13 years. He has lived here ever since. Lisenge is survived by his large and dear family; his wife Jordanos (Hedrit) Bosunga; two sons, Abraham and Emmanuel Bosunga; Many Brothers, Sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in the U.S., in Kinshasa and in various part of the world. Lisenge, a devoted husband, father and brother, had a tremendous passion for basketball. A standout player in college; he enjoyed playing and watching basketball with family and friends as well as mentoring. His smile and personality could light up any room he entered; changing the mood to laughter and putting a smile on any face at any time for adults and as a role model for young children. Calling hours for Lisenge will be held Friday, October 3rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will be held Saturday, October 4th at 9:00 am in the Liberty Church, 495 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
