Arthur L. Ball

Arthur L. Ball passed away peacefully and went to be with his savior Jesus Christ on Thursdays, August 28, 2014 at the age of 66. Arthur was born on January 4, 1948, in Tuscaloosa, AL. He was a 1966 graduate from English High School and later graduated from East Coast Aero-Tech Academy. He served his county proudly in the U.S. Air Force, having served for over 17 years as a tech sergeant. After his military career he joined Continental Airlines where he was a supervisor. Arthur, for the past 18 years was a court officer for the Worcester Superior Court. Arthur was recently ordain as a Deacon for New Praise Cathedral Worship Center and was the Treasurer. He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Senior Ushers and was the assistant Treasurer. Arthur leaves to mourn his son, Weerachai Ball of Thialand and a daughter, Supranee Jenkins of Germany; six brothers, James, Michael, John and Bennett Ball and Willie and Benson Johnson; two sisters, Mary Ball of Boston and Mildred Ball of Georgia; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a longtime companion Lucille Andrews and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Suwan Tanyawdom who died in 2007 and a son, Andrea Ball who died in 1976. A Homegoing service for Arthur will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. in Belmont AME Zion Church, 55 Illinois St., Worcester. Family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the start of his service. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Tuscaloosa, AL.
