Alice L. (Hicks) Prendiville, 76 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2014 in UMass Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Alice's husband of forty-six years, James W. Prendiville, Sr. passed away on March 29, 2002. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Prendiville and Kathleen Adams with whom she lived and Nancy J. O'Connell all of Worcester; a brother, Leonard Hicks of Sutton: nine grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Jill, Timothy, James, Michael, Jonathan, Kaylee and Cassidy; nine great grandchildren, Hayley, Jaden, Gavin, Joshua, Marissa, Kaiden, Gianna, James and Max; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Debra A. Villa; two sisters, Elizabeth Kniskern and Shirley LaBree. Alice was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Leonard and Lydia (Cooper) Hicks. She attended Commerce High School and has lived in Worcester all her life. She worked for Mr. Donuts for twelve years. Alice was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and at one time was a member of the Golden Years. She enjoyed bingo and taking care of her family especially spending time with her grandchildren. Alice's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately.
