Gloria R. (Clement) O'Connell-Crouch, 94, of Worcester died peacefully but unexpectedly on Friday August 8, 2014 in the UMASS Medical Center. Gloria was predeceased by her first husband John B. O'Connell, and her second husband Stewart Crouch. She is survived by her loving family; sons Edward F. O'Connell and his wife Karen of Cape Coral Florida, William D. O'Connell and his wife Mary Lou of Las Vegas, her grandchildren Michael, Brian, and Kristina, and also her great grandchildren, Eric, Sean , Kiley and Keyshawn ,and many close nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by two brothers William and Thomas Clement, and three sisters, Blanche Ramsdell, Doris Flint, and Ruth Brunelle. Gloria was born in Worcester daughter of the late Julia and Thomas Clement and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the former Worcester City Hospital for a short period of time, and was a sales associate at the former Zayre's Department Store. However she enjoyed being a homemaker for her family. Gloria was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, and sang in their choir. She loved to cook and entertain, and lived independently for most of her life. However her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Gloria's funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of visitation with the family will be held from 4PM to 6PM prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
