Michael W. Robinson, 49 of Holden, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Michael is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of thirty-four years, Cynthia R. (Redfield) Robinson; his son, Andrew M. Robinson and his daughter, Emily R. Robinson both of Holden; his mother, Mary D. (Dube) Robinson of Worcester; three brothers, Stephen and Keith Robinson both of Worcester and Eric Robinson of Nashua, NH; a sister, Patricia Libby of Lynn; several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many, many, many friends. Michael was born in Framingham. He lived in Worcester for twenty- seven years and graduated from Burncoat High School in 1983 before moving to Holden twelve years ago. Michael worked as a corporate account manager for Hewlett Packard for ten years. He previously worked for Solectron as a project manager and Data General managing the shipping and receiving department. Michael was an advocate and spokesperson for the Live Strong Program at the Greendale Y.M.C.A. He was an avid reader, enjoyed cycling, camping and going to yard sales. He was also a computer and technical enthusiast, loved music and playing the guitar. Michael's greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends especially their annual trip to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Throughout his life Michael touched many people through his compassion, sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. He will be remembered for his quick wit and big heart. A period of calling hours will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 3-6 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with his funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: The Michael W.
