Bradford J. "Brad" Solomon, 72 of Worcester passed away Monday, August 4th 2014 from injuries suffered in a one car accident. Brad was born in Worcester, his parents were the late Hilmer E. and Christine Solomon . He grew up in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School. Bradford then joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, serving proudly overseas in the Artillery. Upon his return from the War, Brad accepted a position with Norton Company where he worked in the plumbing and pipefitting department many years before accepting a similar position with the Wyman-Gordon Grafton Plant before retiring after many years of service. Brad is survived by his two children, Bradford Solomon, Jr. and his companion Debbie Reddy, , Judy Solomon and her companion James Biando all of Worcester; his good friend Maureen Buxton; siblings, Harold Solomon in Raleigh, North Carolina, Sandra and Marjorie Solomon of Worcester; his former wife June A. (Hansen) Solomon; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two brothers, Thurston and Phillip Solomon pre deceased him. Brad was a kind, generous, and good hearted man who loved animals, and would always help anyone who needed it. His kids were his inspiration and were proudest with them around him. Brad loved to watch the Red Sox and Celtics, work in his garden, and to vacation at Hampton Beach. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 12th at 11 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours from 10 am to the time of the service in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
