Stanley W. Meleski, 88, longtime resident of Boylston passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 19th 2014, joining his dear wife Theresa in heaven. Stanley was born in Boylston, the son of Polish immigrants Walter and Zophia (Pikiel) Meleski. He grew up in Boylston and graduated from Commerce High School. Stanley then joined the U.S. Army as an infantry soldier to serve his country during World War II earning a bronze star medal for actions in battle. Stanley returned home and accepted a position with Massachusetts Electric Company working over 39 years retiring as a line foreman in 1988. In 1950 Stanley married, Theresa M. Ciccarelli. Theresa and Stanley then settled in Boylston spending the next 56 years happily in love married until Theresa passed away on November 17th of 2006. Stanley continued to live in Boylston to this day. Stanley is survived by nieces and nephews including Alex Johns and Joanne Maywalt both of Oxford and Annette Markel of Princeton; Besides his wife, Stanley was pre deceased by a sister Stella Hill. Stanley was a member of St Mary of the Hills Church. He loved farming, taking care of his yard and the occasional trip to the Casinos. He was also a licensed pilot, flying on beautiful sunny days from the Worcester and Sterling Airports. Stanley was a man who lived his life with the utmost integrity and honesty. His word was his bond and never told a lie. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, July 29th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. followed by a funeral service at 7 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
