Karl K. Krueger, 55 of Worcester passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 11th 2014. Karl was born in Worcester, one of five children. He graduated from Worcester Vocational High School, met and married his wife of the next 33 years Aecha (Kim) Krueger. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their family and have lived here ever since. Karl is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Aecha; his two children Kevin K. Krueger of Charleston, SC, Jun E. Lamarche and her husband Eric of Auburn; his parents Louis O. Krueger Jr. and Grace E. (Cote) Krueger of Worcester; a brother, Louis O. Krueger III of Portsmouth RI, three sisters Debbie Collins of Leigh High Acres, Florida, Darlene MacDonald of Watertown, and Corrine Levinthal of Shelburne, Vt., four grandchildren he adored; Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Karl worked many years as a Glazer for the National Glass Works in Worcester. He also owned and operated Evergreen's Market on Main St. He then accepted a position in the maintenance department of Corcoran Management where he has worked for the last six years. Karl was a communicant of St Peters Church. A devoted family man he cherished raising his children and participating in their activities including coaching Babe Ruth for the Joe Schwartz league. He also coached the Babe Ruth 15 year old all-star team helping them advance to the New England Regional Championships. He valued spending time with his entire family and looked forward to every family occasion. At each holiday during the year his lawns were fully adorned with theme displays that were loved by all. He was also a New England Sports fan, especially and tirelessly following the Boston Red Sox. Karl also enjoyed working around his house and garden. He was once a member of A company, 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry, Mass Army National Guard in Worcester. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday July 10th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation. His funeral will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, July 18th in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
