John J. "Jack" Lanzillotti, Jr. 28, of Brookline and Shrewsbury passed away Saturday June 21st 2014, from injuries suffered when he and his girlfriend, Jessica Campbell, were struck by a car while walking in the Back Bay of Boston. Jack was born in Worcester, grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree in Television Production from Boston University. After graduating from BU, Jack rose to the position of Manager of Red Sox Productions/Game Operations with the Boston Red Sox organization. He has worked for the club for the past seven years. In 2011, Jack won a New England Emmy award for a feature that he co-produced. Jack is survived by his parents, John J. Lanzillotti Sr. and Patricia (DiGiorno) Lanzillotti; his two sisters, Maria and Alexa Lanzillotti; paternal grandfather, Domenic Lanzillotti; maternal grandmother, Carol Jewel; uncles and aunt, Domenic Lanzillotti, Susan and Kevin Shankle; many cousins, extended family, and friends. Jack was dedicated, a hard worker, and took special pride in working for the Boston Red Sox. Jack loved Boston, his family, and his girlfriend, Jessica, who passed away alongside him. They both enjoyed spending time with their friends and family in the city they loved. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, June 26th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Friday at 12 noon at St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury. (Please go directly to church). Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
