James A. Curll, 61, of Worcester a dedicated family man passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, June 21st 2014. James was born in Worcester, one of eight children born to Howard A. "Bunny" Curll Sr. and Marjorie A. (Lambert) Curll. He grew up in Worcester, graduated from Worcester Boys Trade and has lived for a time in Oxford and most of his life in Worcester. Jimmy is survived by his wife of the last 18 years, Paula M. (Ceredona) Curll; his four children, Lynn M. Gervais and her husband Peter, Matthew J., Michael J., and Ashleigh M. Curll all of Worcester; a brother, Howard A. "Rusty" Curll, Jr.; five sisters, Carolyn J. Boyles, Cheryl R. Berthiaume, Christine L. Bell, Judith C. Dorsey and Susanne Kupfer; three grandchildren he adored that lovingly called him "Fafa", Lucy M. & Jamye M. Curll and Chloe L. Gervais; his dog, best friend and companion "Kelly"; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A sister, Cynthia E. Curll passed away in 1963. Jim worked in road and road maintenance construction all his life. He worked many years for Clark and Mott Company and over five years for Traffic Systems Corporation before retiring due to illness. James was a member of Holy Family Parish, he enjoyed fishing and working on his yard. He was an avid Green Bay Packers Football fan. James lived and dedicated his life to his family. He was proudest when he coached in the Oxford Soccer League, and being with his grandchildren. The holidays and special moment with family was when he was the happiest. He especially took great pride in watching his daughter Ashielgh play softball. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, June 24th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 25th from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 am in Holy Family/St Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances may be made to The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Ma.
