James J. Collaro, 46, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 unexpectedly with his loving wife by his side. Jimmy was born in Worcester and was a lifetime resident. He was the son of the late James V. and Colleen E. (Taylor) Collaro. He graduated from Burncoat Sr. High School and earned an Associates degree from Norfolk University. He leaves several fond memories to be cherished by his wife Mary E. (McGinley) Collaro, Son Gian Carlo Collaro, stepchildren, Ian, Meghan, Haley, Liam Doherty, sister, Janlyn E. (Collaro) Garabedian, one grandson, Cameron J. Collaro Jr., a niece and goddaughter, Hannah J. Garabedian, and nephew, Brady V. Garabedian, two Aunts and many friends. He was predeceased by a son Cameron J. Collaro, in 2013. Jimmy owned and operated Jim Collaro Tiling and General Carpentry, LLC. out of Worcester, MA. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. He loved his music and concerts, was an avid Bruins and Jets fan and a Bruins season ticket holder. The gym was his second home, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jim's funeral will be held Tuesday, June 24th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:30 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales Street, Worcester. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Monday, June 23 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home .The burial will be private.
