Therese Terri Griffin

Therese "Terrie" (Demers) Griffin, a resident of Millbury passed away Saturday, June 14th 2014. She was 90 years of age. Terrie was born in Worcester, daughter of Edmond and Laura (Grenier) Demers and grew up in Worcester. She was married for 44 years to Robert E. Griffin, living in Worcester, Grafton and Auburn. Terrie moved to Millbury after Bob passed away in 1994. Terrie is survived by her three children, Jeffrey H. Griffin, Laura M. Strom and her husband Carl all of Millbury, Marie E. Bonofiglio and her husband Albert Jr. of Holden; five grandchildren, Heather Strom-Tessier and her husband Edward, Daniel Strom and his wife Sarah, Meredith Monfreda and her husband Derek, Brian Lee and his companion Christina Kunar and Meaghan Lee; three great grandchildren Desmond Strom, Mackenna Kunar and Alexa Lee; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Two brothers, D. Edmond and Sylvio P. Demers both pre deceased her. Terrie was a member of St Brigid's Church in Millbury. She was very devoted to her faith and church. At one time she coordinated and taught CCD as a member of St Joseph Church in Worcester and later at St James Church in South Grafton. She loved music, singing, reading and arts and crafts. She loved being around people Her family was important to her and she loved being with them. Terrie's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Millbury Healthcare Center, especially the staff of the Shrewsbury Unit for the exceptional care and compassion they showed Terrie during her three year stay. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, June 17th 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Wednesday June 18th in St Brigid's Church, 59 Main St Millbury. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Department c/o of Millbury Healthcare Center, 312 Millbury Ave Millbury, MA 01527.
