Marcelle G. (Genay) Morin, formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2014 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Westborough. She was 92 years old and surrounded at the end by her loving family. Her husband of 53 years, Wilfred A. Morin passed away in November, 1998 Marcelle was born in Nancy, France on April 16, 1922 to Emile Genay and Marie-Antoinette (Krebs) Genay. She married Wilfred A. Morin of the U.S. Third Army on September 14, 1945 in Nancy, France and came to the United States when Wilfred was honorably discharged. She worked for a number of years for the publisher of the local French newspaper "Le Travailleur" Marcelle is survived by her son, Richard Morin and his wife, Patricia (Gibbons) Morin; two granddaughters, Amy, wife of Brian Caddigan of Westborough and Julie, wife of Peter J. Matson of Northborough, and four great grandchildren. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street in Auburn. Marcelle will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
