Barbara A. (Potter) Pedone, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, just two weeks shy of her eighty-first birthday, in Knollwood Nursing Center, with her loving family at her side. Her husband of thirty-one years, Julio M. Pedone, predeceased her in 1982. Barbara is survived by a daughter, Cynthia A. Pedone; two sons, Msgr. F. Stephen Pedone, Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Parish and Michael T. Pedone, all of Worcester. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Voellings. Barbara was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Edward and Margaret (Ruane) Potter, and has lived here all her life. She worked as a medical secretary for many years at Fallon Clinic on Gold Star Blvd, before she retired in 1998. She had previously been a dental assistant with Economy Dental Lab and Dr. Joseph DiLiberto. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Parish. She enjoyed reading, sharing and hearing a great joke and spending Summer time in Sandwich on Cape Cod. Many things in her life had meaning, but she found the greatest joy in the closeness of her husband and their children. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, June 11, at 10 a.m., in her childhood parish church, Saint Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham Street, Worcester. Interment, beside her loving husband, will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester Donations in her memory may be made to the Restoration Fund at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester
