Stephen M Ventura

Stephen M. Ventura, 55, of Millbury passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill in his sleep Saturday, May 24, 2014. Stephen a well-known Hair Stylist and business owner in Worcester, was born in Worcester, his mother was the late Lois A. (Grieves) Ventura. He graduated from St Peter Marian High School and earned his degree in cosmetology from Leo's Beauty Academy and has lived in Millbury all his life. Stephen owned and operated with his father Vito at Mr. Vito's on Main Street in Worcester for over 35 years. Stephen is survived by his father and best friend, Vito A. Ventura; his companion of 20 years, Tina Bryant; a sister, Deborah Shiraka of Falmouth; two nieces, Lauren and Cara Shiraka; Many Aunt, Uncles, Cousins and extended family. Stephen enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, the beach and just being outdoors. His kind and caring spirit will be missed by everyone who knew him. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, June 1st from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will be held Monday, June 2nd at 11 am in the funeral home. Entombment next to his mother in will follow in St John's Mausoleum .
