Rudolph A. "Rudy" D'Acri, 83, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Rudy is survived by his loving wife and best friend of fifty-two years, Eva (Feraco) D'Acri; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew, all of whom were like Rudy and Eva's children. He was predeceased by five brothers and a sister, Louis, Angelo, Robert, Edward, John and Rachel D'Acri. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Conjetta (Fazio) D'Acri, and has lived here all his life. Rudy graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade High School, where he learned the art of cabinet making. He worked for over forty years, as a cabinet maker at R.G. Shakour Company. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. He enjoyed visiting various "reservations" in Connecticut and Montreal, as well as following horse racing. Calling hours for Rudy will be held on Tuesday morning, May 20, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
