Nicholas P. Capurso, a lifetime resident of Worcester, MA, passed away on May 11, 2014. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and friend to many. Nicholas was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Theresa M. Capurso, in December, 2012, and his parents Frank and Antoinette (Mazzolla) Capurso. He is survived by his son John and his wife Susan (Naples, FL), son Scott and his wife Jane (Sturbridge, MA); sisters Nina Naples, Rose Ventura and Lucy Pacella; brothers Michael Capurso and Frank Capurso; grandchildren Carolyn, Jack, Nicholas, and Kailey, and many loving nieces, nephews and relatives. Mr. Capurso was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. During his career Nicholas worked at Pedone Construction, George J. Meyer Manufacturing Company and for many years as a Captain for the Worcester County Sheriff's Department. Nicholas was also a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel/St. Anne Parish and the Biscigliese Society of Worcester. Besides spending time with his family and friends, he also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spent 20 winters in Marco Island, FL with countless friends and associated stories. There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church, 28 Mulberry Street, Worcester, MA, at 10:00 am on Friday, May 16.
