Catherine B. Salvati

Catherine (Katie) B. Salvati, 91 of Taunton formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Marian Manor Skilled Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family. Catherine is survived by her sister, Rose Bailer and her husband Donald of Old Orchard Beach, ME; five nephews, Edward Worcester and his wife Phoebe of Lakeville, Donald Worcester of Worcester, David Bailer and his wife Patricia, Steven Bailer and Paul Bailer and his wife Linda all of Scarborough, ME; many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Raffaela Worcester, two brothers, Domenic and Felix Salvati; and a niece, Debra Laflin, wife of Daniel Laflin, Hallowell, ME. Catherine was born in Clinton, a daughter of the late Antonio and Giovanina (Caparosa) Salvati. She graduated from Commerce High School and lived in Worcester most of her life. Catherine took care of her parents, brothers and was a devoted caregiver to her sister, Raffaela during her final years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Catherine's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14th from 9-11a.m. in the funeral home prior to her funeral service.
