Jantina vanRiet

Jantina van Riet passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Jantina was born in Groningen, Holland, and moved to Strathroy, Canada at the age of 15. She was the oldest daughter of John and Froukje Kolstein. She married Joe van Riet in 1964 and over the course of her life she lived and worked as a seamstress and custom curtain designer in Massena, NY and Bedford, Indiana. In her final years, she lived in Morgan Hill, CA, and Worcester, MA. Jantina's husband Joe passed away in 2000. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Deb van Riet of Holden, MA, Michael and his wife Jennifer van Riet of Sunnyvale, CA and Tony and his wife Jackie van Riet of Chicago, IL. She was the proud grandmother of John and Michael Davis, Ryker and Aerie van Riet, Luke and Charlie van Riet. Funeral services will be privately held by the family.
