Juliette Catherine Richard, 19 of Bolton, died peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2014 while at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. Juliette is survived by her loving family, her parents, James T. and Kathleen M. (Crosbie) Richard; her brother, Jared W. Richard all of Bolton; her maternal grandparents, William F. and Janice E. Crosbie of Auburn; her paternal grandmother, Doris M. Manners and her husband Jim of Jaffrey, NH; four aunts, Nancy E. Crosbie and Greg Christo of West Boylston, Stacy E. Crosbie of Auburn, Janet M. Queally and her husband Thomas of Sutton and Sharon A. Richard of Simi Valley, CA; an uncle, Bruce A. Richard and his wife Kristi of Worcester; her great aunt, Rena M. Richard and her husband Rufin VanBossuyt of Upton; nine cousins, Nick, Rya, Michael, Randi, Erin, Nate, Kevin, Keith and Abigail; a large extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Roger J. Richard of Auburn, in 1993. Juliette was born on October 3, 1994, in Worcester, Massachusetts. She graduated from Nashoba Valley Regional High School in Bolton with honors in 2013 after spending her senior year as a dual-enrollment student at Worcester State University. She was a member of the high school volleyball team and an EMT. Juliette began this fall as a freshman at the University of Rochester, where she planned to study microbiology and epidemiology. Juliette was extremely gifted in the area of science and mathematics and planned to use those talents to help ease suffering in undeveloped and less fortunate countries. Her friends describe her as someone to look up to, a free spirit that always tried to reach out to others, someone who was never afraid to be herself and lived every day on her own terms. A period of calling hours for Juliette will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 3-7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately.
