Linda B. Gallicchio, 57, of Worcester passed away peacefully Thursday March 27th 2014, with her loving family gathered by her side after battling Lung Cancer. Linda is survived by her son, Michael Gallicchio with whom she lived; a daughter, Ashley Tonelli of Worcester; her parents, Michael and Maria (Marchese) O'Connor of West Boylston; a brother, Mark Gallicchio of Auburn; three sisters, Kelly Belsito, and Nicole Demember both of West Boylston, and Melissa Watson of Webster, a grandson she cherished, Shaun; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends including her two best friends, Denise Sinkus and Gail Gicas who supported her with dedication and compassion in her final months as well as her life. Linda was born in Worcester on August 19th 1956; She was educated in the Worcester Public Schools and has lived here all her life. Linda worked several years for her parents Michael and Maria at the City Lights Restaurant of Grafton St in Worcester as a Hostess and Waitress before retiring due to illness. She was a modest, quiet women, who liked to travel, loved to be with her children and friends and just liked living an unassuming life. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Monday, March 31st from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, leaving at that time in procession to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St John's Cemetery.
