Albert J. Mallett Jr.72 of Worcester formerly of Auburn died peacefully Saturday March 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 51 years Loretta A. (Sbrogna) Mallett of Worcester, three sons; Thomas P. Mallett and his long time companion Stacey Tufts, Peter D. Mallett and his wife Michelle , Keith Mallett and his wife Kerry, and a daughter Grace Ann Mallett. Three grandchildren, Christian, Molly, and Nicholas and his wife Jessica. Al also leaves a brother Wayne Mallett and a sister Beverly Mallett, several Brother and Sisters in Law, and many nephews and nieces. A son Albert J. Mallett died in 2012. Albert was born in Worcester son of the late Albert and Cecelia (Premo) Mallett and lived in Leicester and Auburn many years before moving back to Worcester.He was a graduate of Leicester High School.Albert worked as a Metal Fabricator for many years at the former Arduini Manufacturing Company before he retired. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Auburn. Among his interests Albert loved to go fishing, but most of all he enjoyed being home with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service for Albert will be held Friday at 10:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6PM to8PM.
