Barton Blaine Kincaid

April 3, 1958 — March 16, 2014

Barton Blaine Kincaid, 55, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, March16, 2014, in UMass Hospital. Bart is survived by his wife, Marie R. (Vaillancourt) Kincaid; their son, Jack Barton Kincaid; three step-daughters, Rose M. Rosko Arnold and her husband Robert of Sanford, FL, Nicole E. Rosko Miley and her husband Nate of Leominster and Lauren L. Rosko of Casselberry, FL; three sisters, Connie A. Kincaid of Newton, NC, Tracy Thornton and her husband Clif of Newton, NC and Jill Edwards and her husband Scott of Maiden, NC; three step grandchildren, Emmett, Mason and Abigail Arnold; his mother in law, Theresa Vaillancourt of Franklin; many nieces and nephews, including Kelyn and Jack Thornton and Chloe Edwards. He was born in Hickory, North Carolina, son of the late Jack B. and Peggy Ann (Williams) Kincaid. He graduated in 1976, from Newton-Conover High School. He then moved to Massachusetts and graduated from Berkley College of Music in 1979. Upon his graduation from Berkley he spent the next ten years, as he would say, "living as a starving artist". Bart enrolled at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1988 and earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute 1991. Bart worked as a computer chip designer for most of his professional career and holds many U.S. Patents for his designs. He was currently working as an electrical engineer for MIT Lincoln Labs. He was a life-time member of GOAL and Clan Kincaid. He was a hard working man, completely dedicated to anything he was involved in whether it be his music, martial arts, his work or time enjoying his surroundings; but it was his wife and their son that brought him the most love and the greatest feelings of satisfaction. Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, March 30, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m., all occurring in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
