Michael A. Ward, 59, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. Michael is survived by his 3 sons, Tiyika Minton and his fiancé Cynthia Cruz of Southbridge, Kyle Minton and Tyrone "Shawn" Murphy both of Worcester; his mother, Elizabeth Anne (Toney) Ward-White of Worcester; his father, Luther A.D. Ward, Jr. of Worcester; 2 brothers, Luther "Junie" A.D. Ward, III and James "Nugie" G. Ward (Linda), all of Worcester; 3 sisters, Joanne E. Small of Maryland, Barbara L. Ward and Deirdre D. Ward, both of Worcester; a step-sister, Joy Hinton (Travis) of W. Brookfield; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. His step-father, Wilmore H. White, Jr., pre-deceased him. Michael was born in Worcester, he graduated from Quinsigamond Community College, and served his nation in the United States Navy. Michael worked at the Channing House, as a Substance Abuse Counselor. He was a former member of both Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church and Second Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading, traveling and nature. He adored his family and his pets. Calling Hours and Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 21, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 6 p.m., all occurring in Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois Street, Worcester.
