Rose A. (Caputo) Giaquinto, 94, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, died Friday, March 14, 2014 peacefully at home. Rose was born on October 1, 1919, in Worcester, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Raffael and Raquel (Moccia) Giaquinto. She graduated from the Worcester Girl's Trade School as a dressmaker and has lived in Worcester all her life. She worked at Worcester Coat Factory for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a life time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann and its Golden years Club. Rose loved her family dearly and delighted in spending time with her children and their spouses as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose's husband Joseph M. Giaquinto with whom she shared 60 years of marriage passed away in 2006. Her memory will be cherished by her four children: A son, Joseph M. Giaquinto and his wife Kaethe of Worcester, her three daughters, Julie A. Norton and her husband Raymond of Palm Coast, FL, Joann Ursoleo and her husband Anthony of Sunrise, FL and Jeanne M. Casey and her husband Ralph of Worcester; a sister, Caroline Paldino of Worcester; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A daughter, Raquel Foley; a grandson, Keith Norton; seven brothers and two sisters predecease her. Family, friends, and others whose lives Rose touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18th. Her funeral will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Mount Carmel - St. Anne Parish, 24 Mulberry Street where her Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow to Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.
