Eleanor B. (Olson) Morello, longtime resident of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully with family at her side, after a brief illness, on Friday, March 14th, 2014. She was 85 years of age. Eleanor, one of nine children of Clarence and Anna (Johnson) Olson, was born on November 7, 1928 and grew up in Worcester. In 1954 she married Robert A. Morello. They settled in Shrewsbury in 1970, where they remained together until June 22nd of last year when Bob passed away. She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Robin Born and her husband Joseph of Indianapolis, IN, Ann Morello of Harwich, Tina Crawford and her husband Brian of Nashua NH; two brothers, Russell Olson and his wife Eleanor, Richard Olson; two grandsons she cherished, Daniel and Christopher Crawford; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Six siblings, Albert Anderson, Donald Olson, Helen Johnson, Gladys McAtee, Evelyn Wooldridge, and Shirley Krososczka all pre-deceased her. Eleanor was a member of St Mary's Church, and the SAC Women's Auxiliary and a former member of the Beato Angelo Society in Worcester. While she enjoyed dancing, family vacations, and traveling with Bob, nothing made her happier than being Nana to Danny and Christopher. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, March 18th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Wednesday, March 19th from the funeral home with a procession to St Mary's Church, 640 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA where her Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial next to her husband will follow in Mt View Cemetery.
