Eleanor M. Iacovone

Eleanor "Ellie" M. Iacovone,47,of Worcester died unexpectedly on Monday March 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Ellie is survived by her devoted husband and soul mate of over 28 years Gaetano Tatalo, her devoted children Giorgio Iacovone and his companion Joana Alvarracin, Gaetano Iacovone, and Maria T. Iacovone. She also leaves her grandson Giorgio Iacovone 111, her brother Philip Iacovone, her sister Donna Therrien and her brother in law Roy Therrien and nieces,nephews, and cousins. Among them her close cousin Dianne Iacovone, and best friend Tina Mastrototaro. She was predeceased by her sister Theresa Iacovone. Eleanor was born in Worcester daughter of the late Philip and Janet (Rizzuti) Iacovone and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of North High School and Brom's Beauty Academy. Ellie worked at several area restaurants but really enjoyed being a home maker for her family. She loved going to the beach, and enjoyed a good day at the Casino! But her most treasured times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ellie's family would like to thank Megan Mooskian a special nurse for taking good care of Ellie and being a special friend. Eleanor's funeral will be held on Tuesday March 11, 2014 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 4PM to 7PM on Monday evening. Interment will be in St John's Cemetery with her mother and sister.
