Dolores Kalil

Dolores (Fasano) Kalil, 68, of Worcester passed away Thursday, February 27th with her devoted family by her side. Dolores was born and raised in Worcester, one of three children of Leo and Lucy (Notarangelo) Fasano. She graduated from Commerce High School. Dolores worked for the Diane-Marion Company in Worcester where she met and later married her love Donald D. Kalil and together lived happily until Donald passed away in 1984. Dolores after leaving Diane-Marion began her career working for the City of Worcester School department as a teacher aide at various schools including Dartmouth St, Columbus Park and retiring in 2011 from Burncoat Prep. Dolores is survived by her family, her son Albert N. Kalil II, and his fiancée Melissa Chandley with whom she lived; 5 step children Daniel Kalil, Cheryl Kalil, Mindy Kalil, Dawn Reeks, and Sherry Stumpo; her sister and best friend Annette F. Ricardi and her husband Thomas; two grandchildren she cherished, Andrew and Jack; her aunt Judy McKuzes; nephews Thomas and Steven Ricardi; extended family and many friends. Besides her husband and parents, Dolores was pre deceased by her sister, Frances in 1960. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. Dolores was all about family and spending time with them, her son and grandchildren were her world and were the times she was happiest. She enjoyed traveling, summers in Maine, cruises with and spending time with her sister and tending to her home. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, March 3rd from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 4th from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, Tenn. or the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street Worcester. .
